Recovery Oriented Practice

We invite you to come along to increase your knowledge of carer supports, discover a range of capacity building opportunities, and learn how to prioritise personal wellbeing whilst supporting others.
About our training, Recovery Oriented Practice:
A person’s mental health journey is never linear and the concept of recovery, or achieving the optimal state of personal, social and emotional wellbeing, whilst living with or recovering from a mental health condition, will vary for everyone. People are unique and have individual differences, such as age, gender, culture, beliefs and support networks.
When caring for a loved one, friend or person with mental health issues it is important to treat them with dignity and respect regardless of their emotional experiences and to remain optimistic by looking at their journey and supporting them through the lens of recovery, empowering them to take control of their own life.
Who are the courses for?
All of our training courses are designed to help educate and teach useful skills to mental health carers, families and friends. However, others such as people living with mental health conditions, mental health organisations and professionals, students and other interested individuals are welcome to attend and will still benefit from the training.
